宫琴的实验室专注于听觉系统的检测分析、康复工程和认知工程的研究。通过现代信号处理方法, 研究听觉系统从听觉外周、听神经到听觉中枢的传输通路和机制;并对疑难听觉病症进行精准定位。 研发电子耳蜗(CI)调试平台、言语编码策略和前端语音增强算法以提高 CI 佩戴者的言语识别率。 通过频率跟随响应、失匹配负波、中潜伏期、听觉稳态相应等研究手段结合功能磁共振,探索听 觉中枢对不同刺激声及背景噪声下的听觉处理机制。
Dr. Gong’s primary research interest is auditory system focusing on detection and analysis of the auditory system, rehabilitation engineering and auditory cognition. Using modern signal processing methods, Dr. Gong’s team detects signals from auditory peripheral, auditory nerve, and auditory center, to investigate the mechanisms and circuits underlying auditory pathway, and attempt to develop objective methods with pinpoint accuracy to the auditory diseases. In addition, Dr. Gong’s team also develops the debugging platforms, speech encoding strategies suitable for Mandarin tones, and improved front-end speech enhancement algorithms for cochlear implant (CI) to improve CI user's speech discrimination rates. Recently, based on frequency-following response (FFR), mismatch negativity (MMN), middle latency potential (MLP), auditory steady state (ASSR),and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), Dr. Gong’s team is studying the processing mechanism of auditory center on different stimuli and background noise, and exploring to establish the objective evaluation approach on speech discrimination rates for CI user
